1. How does the moving and payment process work?
When Customer Books Move
Customer should expect an e-mail from Administration with a copy of their Agreement Form. The agreement form will highlight the details of customer’s order and will need to be signed and e-mailed or faxed back to Handy Dandy Moving. The agreement form will also reflect the customer’s holding fee amount due. The holding fee will apply to customer’s ending balance and is set in place to cover up front costs invested in reserving movers and ensuring a quality move. Both the holding fee and customer agreement form will need to be handled at least 48 Hours prior to the day of the move. If customer is booking next day, Customer will need to return signed agreement form on the day of booking and will be expected to pay in full at time of booking. If customer is booking same-day, movers will bring customer agreement form to customer and customer will be expected to pay in full at time of booking.
Day of Move
Movers will provide customer with a courtesy call when they are en route. Customer’s remaining balance payment will be due upon completion of the move. Customer’s agreement form will instruct customer of the acceptable forms of payment.
2. What is a Holding fee?
A holding fee is an upfront fee that is charged to every customer prior to the move. It will apply to customer’s ending balance and is set in place to cover up front costs invested in reserving movers and ensuring a quality move.
3. Will movers call when they are on their way?
Yes. It is standard practice that our movers will provide customer with a courtesy call when en-route.
4. Is there a charge for same-day, next day, weekend, or holidays?
No. There is no extra fee for weekend or holidays.
5. Do you have any complimentary (FREE) services?
Yes. Most importantly, you get friendly movers and staff with smiles free of charge! At no extra fee, Handy Dandy provides complimentary Furniture Assembly & Breakdown, Complimentary Non-Gas Appliance Hook-Ups, Complimentary Rental Truck Driving (for local moves only when customer rents their own truck but want movers to drive), and Complimentary Shrink Wrap for all moves. For moves in which Customer books Truck through Handy Dandy Moving, we also provide Complimentary Furniture Pads.
6. Are you insured?
Yes. General liability up to 1,000,000.
7. Do you break-down furniture?
Yes. This is one of our complimentary, free of charge services.
8. What are your hours of operation?
Our friendly movers operate 24/7. Our friendly customer service department operates 24/7 and are able to take payments over the phone (after hours, staff may be limited so call and be sure to leave a message if no one picks up and you will receive a response promptly). Our accounting department operates during normal business hours.
